Controls
The locating bolt of the tripod screws into the base plate to keep the level steady.
The adjustable footscrews are used to centre the levelling bubble once the level has been locked to the tripod. There are three of these on the level.
The eyepiece can be adjusted to focus the cross hairs in the viewfinder.
The circular 'bullseye' bubble works like a spirit level. The bubble must be in the exact centre of the circle for the automatic level to be regarded as 'level'.
The focussing knob brings the image in the view finder into clear focus.
The fine adjustment knob adjusts the 360 degree horizontal drive.
The display window is where the horizontal reading is displayed in degrees.
The gross adjustment adjusts the 360 degree horizontal drive.
