Mid grey-green, concolorous, linear to lanceolate, 15-20cm, pendant.

Flower:

White, in numbers of 7-11, flowering in spring, dependant on rainfall.

Fruit:

Gum nut or capsule ovoid, 4-9mm wide, valves projecting.

Other features:

Salt/drought/frost tolerant. Trunk: termite resistant, bark smooth throughout, mottled grey/brown/cream.

Natural distribution:

Throughout Australia except Tasmania.

Soils:

Clay to light.

Along water courses. Open forests and woodlands.
