Dimensions:

Height 15-30m, width 10-25m.

Foliage:

Adult; 2cm wide x 10-18cm, alternate, narrow-lanceolate, concolorous, lemon scented.

Flower:

Inflorescence of 3 flowered umbels arranged in terminal corymbs on peduncles 2-3cm long; flowers about 2cm across, white, numerous stamens.

Fruit:

Capsules 1-1.2cm x 1cm, ovoid, valves deeply sunken.

Other features:

Straight smooth white trunk.

Natural distribution:

Qld between Mackay and Maryborough to 300km inland.

Soils:

Poor sandy to gravelly, needs good drainage.

Natural vegetation:

Coastal to inland, Mackay to Maryborough.

Landcare use:

Fast growing. Grows in a variety of soils and conditions.

Seed.
