To find area of an irregularly shaped green calculate an average radius and use that to calculate the area using the formula Πr2.
To calulate the average radius pick a point roughly in the centre of the green. Measure and record the distance from this point to the edge of the green in 10° intervals. Add these distances up and divide by the total number of measurements to obtain the average.
